Anyone ever try cement instead of sand and a cope and drag? I made a steel cylinder that opens up with handles and closed it up and poured some aluminum onto it on some smooth foundry cement and it made a real nice smooth aluminum pancake. I was thinking maybe I could make a cement mold that comes apart in pieces and then pour into the cement mold.
